Our speaker is Dave Willman, District Foundation Chair. No, he is not coming to solicit support, but to give us a tour of RI headquarters in Evanston.  Ever wondered what RI Headquarters looks like? Dave will take us on a virtual tour.  You will enjoy this trip.

Last week we had our first town hall meeting. Good idea, Jamie. We had a great discussion which I’ll try to report:

We finalized the visioning date. October 21^st at 8:30 AM at Mount Vernon. Please calendarize this, we need a big turnout for this very important new beginning for our club.

 

 

We changed the meeting time which was the desire of all in attendance. Getting home earlier is a positive which should increase attendance and perhaps dinner participation. This new time will begin the first meeting in Oct. which is October 4^th.

 

 

Our membership night will be Oct. 11^th. The idea is to have several guests to expose to the idea of Rotary. Of course, it’s up to all of us to invite these guests. Chris Nims will be working on the details. We have a list of chamber members for your help, if you need it. If you need the list, let me know...I’ll have them Wed. The hope is to have each member have at least one guest. We’ll have nice hrs-d-oeuvres and bar set up.  Several Rotarians picked up lists. Please... be a contributor to this vitally important initiative.

 

 

The board approved a change to the beneficiary of organization who receive funds from our fundraising. The thought was that we want to add Resilience 1220. They will be added and their addition will necessitate a reduction in EChO’s percentage. The thought is that our funds are not as impactful at EChO who has wide financial support within the community.

 

 

Jamie is seeking a Community Service Chair and individuals to serve as steering committee members.

 

 

We discussed the district’s new training, and the thought is that promoting attendance will enhance our pool of future club leaders.
