Halloween is upon us, so please feel free to come to our next meeting in costume! We'll have some extra fun...I even heard that we will enjoy a special sweet treat!

UPCOMING SPEAKER: Next week, our guest speaker is Chaundra Price, who will be providing us with valuable information about Health Insurance in 2025. Whether you have Medicare or an ACA plan, join us next Wednesday to learn what you need to consider when evaluating your healthcare options for 2025!

Chaundra is the founder of the Medicare Teachers (a non-government entity) and has been a licensed health and life insurance agent specializing in Medicare since 2013. She is a servicing agent for hundreds of individuals, and she loves teaching active older adults about their plan options. She holds a National Social Security Advisor certificate. She is also a mentor for brokers who belong to the Medicare Teachers agency in several states across the country.

Supporting Homeless Veterans: As discussed in our 10/23 meeting, we will be collecting Happy Bucks to purchase the needed supplies for the packs for homeless veterans. If you prefer to purchase items, Walmart has everything that’s needed. Target, drugstores, and grocery stores will likely have travel-sized items, though hand and foot warmers are easier to find in stores that have camping/outdoor items. Rather than including the item list again in the newsletter, I’ll happily email the list to you if you contact me at yonastillman@outlook.com.

Alternative Fair and Ice Melt Ticket Sales: Remember that the Alternative Fair is on Nov 8 and 9. It’s a great event for holiday shopping to benefit nonprofits in the area. Additionally, it's when we kick off Ice Melt ticket sales, so please sign up to sell tickets!

Seniors4Wellness Thanksgiving Lunch: The Seniors4Wellness Thanksgiving luncheon is on Friday, November 8th. They need volunteers to help serve and clean up. There will be two seatings, from 11:00 - 12:30 and from 1:15 - 2:30. Seniors4Wellness can be reached by email at seniors4wellness@outlook.com or call (720) 835-8776. The website is seniors4wellness.org. Please note that volunteers are invited to stay for lunch!

Preview of Coming Attractions: On November 6th, your intrepid and slightly goofy Admin Chair, Yona Stillman, will be leading us in an interactive Balance and Fall Prevention presentation.
