Happy Sunday, Rotarians!
The leaves have changed and are now falling, the snow showed up on Friday, making for a "fun" rush hour, and there's a lot of news to share, so let's get to it!
This week's speaker is Michele L. Walter, who will share her wisdom about "Finding Peace in the Midst of Change: A Mindfulness Meditation Framework.
Michele L. Walter shows freedom-loving Gen X’ers and trailblazing organizations how to move through transitions with more confidence, courage, and clarity. Michele is a recovering attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice who quit her 20-year career at the age of 49 to focus on her own full-time business—Life From The Summit. She is a Certified Professional Coach, Certified Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner, and Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. Michele is also the host of The Gen X Shift podcast. In her spare time, she serves as a trip leader with the Colorado Mountain Club, is a three-time Ironman, a mountain lover, and a devoted dog mom to her pitbull, Winnie.
According to Michele, "Humans know that change is inevitable; yet we constantly struggle with it. The fear, uncertainty, and unwelcome nature of change can feel chaotic, overwhelming, and disorienting. Mindfulness meditation is an invitation to create more peace in the midst of change. During this talk, you will learn the basics of mindfulness meditation, an equation that can change your life, and three mindfulness practices that you can put into action right away for whatever transition you are facing."
The only constant in life is change and it impacts us all, so I encourage you to join us for this highly relevant and applicable presentation!
