Public Picasso
Public Picasso, a band emerging from the mountains above Denver, Colorado has an eclectic sound pulling inspiration across decades of soundscapes. Blending catchy indie pop lyrics with surf rock inspired anthems, Public Picasso evokes comparison anywhere from Peach Pit, to Nirvana, to The Velvet Underground.   The band consists of brothers Sky Schapiro and Grey Schapiro (singers/songwriters and guitarists), Nathan Erbe (bass guitar) and Nick Lyon (Drummer)

District Governor
Rotarian Cindy Chase joined Denver Cherry Creek Rotary in 2017. A neighbor introduced Rotary to Cindy leading with our mission to eradicating polio as he knew Cindy’s father was afflicted with polio at age 19 and this Rotary cause would be dear to her heart. In 2022-2023 she served as President of her club. Cindy serves as Denver Cherry Creek Foundation and Membership Chair, District Polio Committee member, and is on the Epic Day of Service team. She is a Paul Harris Fellow +7

Crutches 4 Africa reaches Milestone
 
250,000! In June, we reached an incredible milestone: 250,000 mobility devices shipped to people in need around the world.

When we started CRUTCHES 4 AFRICA 21 years ago, we never imagined where this journey would lead. We certainly didn't expect to become adept at international shipping or learn the many complexities of clearing customs. Yet every challenge has been worth it because it has opened the door for someone to regain mobility, independence, and hope.
As we celebrate this milestone, we invite you to continue walking alongside us. There are still countless mobility devices that can be rescued from landfills and placed into the hands of people who desperately need them.

This work continues to require financial support. We are especially grateful for partners who give monthly, providing the steady resources needed to collect, prep, and ship these life-changing devices. Whether your gift is monthly or one-time, every donation helps restore mobility, independence, and hope.
