You may remember that Chris was to give us a tour of the historic old Rockland church this week.
Well, Chris and Diane have contracted Covid. So, we will have to cancel this week’s meeting and turn our attention to the following meeting on the 18th.
The meeting on the 18th. will be a membership night. It will only work if you and I bring guests. The whole purpose is to meet and greet individuals who might become great Rotarians. We will have a generous supply of nice hor dourves. This will be a big deal if you make it one. Let’s do this!
A couple of pieces of news:
First. Chris Nims has agreed to serve two terms to allow the time to season the right person to succeed Chris. I can tell you that having the right person leading a Rotary club is a success element for that club. Thanks Chris.
I have been serving as speaker-getter and bulletin editor for as long as I can remember. I am turning those responsibilities to Yona Stillman. She has already started filling future speaker openings and will begin to produce the weekly bulletin soon. I met with her and she has many ideas. She plans to solicit your ideas concerning programs you would like. Good programs lead to good attendance.
Having a new person in this important slot will bring about new ideas and that’s a very good thing.
One last reminder.......The 28th is the District Conference. We will not meet the 25th to encourage attendance at the District Conference. It will be a one-day event so inexpensive in terms of time and dollars......
